Diane C. Robertson - Comparative Effectiveness Research - April 30, 2010
Diane C. Robertson has directed ECRI Institute's Health Technology
Assessment Information Services (HTAIS) program for 5 years and before that
worked in the HTAIS program producing health technology assessments, horizon
scans, and health policy articles for 11 years. Ms. Robertson has 30 years'
experience directing and managing projects, researching, writing, and
publishing evidence-based information for clinicians, payers, employer
groups, purchaser organizations, consumers, and patients. Ms. Robertson
directed and was a primary author for several patient-centered projects,
including a patient guide published in the U.S. and U.K.: Should I Enter a
Clinical Trial: A Patient Reference Guide for Adults with a Serious or
Life-Threatening Illness. She also led a complex patient-and family-focused
project on bulimia nervosa to create a comprehensive online Web site
( www.bulimiaguide.org) of evidence-based information and tools for those
affected by the disorder. Currently, Ms. Robertson is the business line
manager for ECRI's Health Technology Assessment Information Services
membership program, which includes evidence-based tools and information used
by health systems and payers for strategic planning and medical policy
development.
